This course is designed for BCBA and BCaBA candidates preparing for real-world practice, as well as newly certified behavior analysts who want to strengthen their skills in developing comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). It is ideal for professionals seeking hands-on experience completing each section of a BIP and translating assessment findings into effective treatment recommendations.
Throughout this course, you will learn how to complete a Behavior Intervention Plan from start to finish, including documenting referral information, background and current functioning, medical necessity, physical health considerations, assessment results, observations, and Functional Behavior Assessment findings. You will learn how to operationally define maladaptive behaviors, identify behavioral functions, determine intervention intensity, select evidence-based interventions, develop replacement and skill acquisition programs, plan for generalization, create supervision and parent training plans, establish service schedules, calculate treatment units, and document clinical recommendations using professional and APA-style writing. By the end of the course, you will have a practical framework for creating comprehensive, individualized, and clinically sound BIPs.
